Michele Azenzer Bear is a Director best known for "Mike & Molly". In addition to directing, Michele Azenzer Bear, has been working as a 1st Assistant Director in television. Her most recent projects include "Living Biblically" aka "By the Book", “The Great Indoors", and "Mike & Molly". In the final season of “Mike & Molly” Michele directed the 1st part of a 2 part episode that began to wrap the series. She is extremely proud of the work she accomplished.
She has been working in TV since graduating from Cal State University Northridge in 1990, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio / Television / Film.
While in college, she was an intern at "Entertainment Tonight” and landed her first job as a Production Assistant for Witt-Thomas- Harris Productions on a little show called “The Golden Girls.” It was on this show that she realized that she wanted to become a Director and go down that path as an Assistant Director.
One of the producers from that show was moving on to produce the first original program for HBO called “The Larry Sanders Show.” He asked Michele to go with him and from there her career was launched.
Most recently Michele was 1 of 4 women directors chosen to participate in the CBS Directors Diversity Program. The Directors Initiative provides a platform of opportunity for talented television directors to be introduced to the CBS family.
Michele’s resume covers many different genres. She has worked on soap operas (General Hospital, All My Children, Passions, Port Charles), various game shows, talk shows (Roseanne, Leeza, The Dennis Prager Show), award shows(Country Music Awards, The Academy Awards), sitcoms (Mike & Molly, The Great Indoors, Sullivan & Son, News Radio, California Dreams, Hang Time, Suite Life, Suite Life on Deck, Rob, Married to the Kelly’s), and an extensive amount of pilots. Being involved in multiple genres of television has made Michele a well versed professional in the entertainment business.
Michele is married and has a 17 year old son who aspires to be a director as well, one day. She and her family reside in Los Angeles, California.
